This website is for the members of Basic Class 8-68, their families and friends.
TBS 8-68 was the eighth class graduated from The Basic School at Marine Corps Base Quantico in 1968.
This was a class of 238 officers including 20 foreign military officers. This class was 21 weeks of rigorous training for mostly young Marine Second Lieutenants in the fine art of being an effective Marine Officer knowledgeable in everything from the tactics of small arms to organizational structure and logistics (“Two tanks and a jeep.”) The class started on Tuesday 6 February 1968 and graduated on Monday 3 July 1968.
